Kyuryukan Emblem

Gold represents good heart, good actions, and the ethic of reciprocity (Golden Rule).

Red represents martial ability and the willingness to defend oneself or others when in danger and there is no other alternative.

Black represents the sadness one experiences when forced to use their martial arts.

The kanji characters honor the classical Japanese martial arts that make up a large component of Sensei Ball’s experience.



The sphere

1. (Theology) Creation: God's act of bringing the universe into existence.

2. (Geometry) To surround or encompass a body or space contained under a single surface, which in every part is equally distant from a point within called its center.

3. (Logic) The extension of a general conception, or the totality of the individuals or species to which it may be applied.

4. (Social) The persons with whom one is normally in contact or a range of action, knowledge, or influence. The extent to which a person's knowledge, interests, social position, or a particular field of activity extends. People of the same rank or with shared interests. Sensei’s family crest or coat of arms which includes a rampant lion holding aloft a golden sphere (Kamon in Japanese).

 

 

Sensei, Kevin Ball has been learning and teaching multiple martial arts systems for thirty five years.
Mr. Ball holds Black Belts in these disciplines:

3rd degree black belt, Judo

Kyuryukan Bujitsu came into existence as a result of
Sensei Ball's experience and many years of study and research into martial arts of the world.
